Oakville Canvasser Heart Rally jumpstarted by heart attack survivor

The Heart and Stroke Association will have utilized the services of poster and flyer printing services in Oakville to promote their Canvasser Heart Rally, which took place at the town hall in Oakville to kick off Heart Month. Ernie Nock, Oakville resident, shared his own intimate story, thanks to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Nock expressed his gratitude to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

About ten years ago, Nock was an accomplished sports participant. Some of his feats included taking part in barrel racing on his horse, being an enthusiastic golfer and hiking the Bruce Trail. For ten years, Nock coached a high school badminton team. In fact, his daughter placed third in Canada, in junior badminton. She was trained by her dad.

Nock was told in 2007 that he was in the high risk category for a major heart attack. He was told that his heart was only functioning at 20 per cent. In May of the same year, he underwent cardiac surgery at the Sunnybrook Hospital. The surgery proved successful and Nock was discharged from Sunnybrook the same day. In fact, he was back to work the very next day.

“I am here today because of your donations to and your support for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.”

, Nock told the audience at the rally.

There were over 100 volunteers at the rally. They will be conducting door-to-door canvassing during the month of February in the City of Oakville. Please give generously to this worthwhile cause, when you are approached by a canvasser.
