Lol Atelier opens store in Oakville

Downtown Oakville is now home to the first Lolë Atelier store in Ontario; the Montreal-based women’s clothing chain has over 1,000 stores in North America. According to VP of Marketing Nathalie Binda,

“Oakville is the ideal place for us to host regular meet-ups and encouraging people to move, everyday. We feel at home here.”

The Lolë Atelier mission through their clothing is to have respect for the environment; they make sure everything they sell is made of natural and renewable materials. They have four criteria for clothing: it must be versatile, it must be functional, it must be comfortable and it must be feminine. They also try to promote a healthy lifestyle for women through their local meet-ups program. They involve the community in free yoga, Pilates and other fitness classes which take part in local parks.

Many women in the area might not be aware of this store yet so it is important it is marketed appropriately. With 1,000 stores Lolë Atelier is probably quite adept at letting the local community know that they have arrived in town. More than likely they will have offered opening specials to the women of Oakville. Sending out a flyer though a direct-mail campaign which offers the consumer money off or a free tea if they visit the store would bring some women in who might not have thought of coming by. The cost of the flyer printing, which is low to begin with, will be more than paid for by the increase in business to the store.
