June is Seniors Month for Ontario

June has been designated as Seniors Month in Ontario. People over 65 are one of the largest growing segments of society and deserve this honour.

This year will be the 27th annual observance of Seniors Month in Ontario and events will be held all over the province. Events such as award ceremonies, recognition events, social events and information fairs will take place during the month of June. Printing companies in the Oakville area may well be required to help promote this event, as their printing services help with many events such as these, with flyer printing, poster printing and much more.

To kick off Seniors Month in Oakville, the Oakville Seniors Picnic will be held at Coronation Park on June 1st. The free event will take place from 11am until 2pm. Seniors are invited to bring their own lunch or to purchase food at the park. They are also invited to bring family members with them. The event will be held rain or shine.

The Oakville Seniors Picnic will feature entertainment such as singing, dancing, clowns and jugglers. There will also be caricature artists and balloon animals. It should be a fun day for seniors and attendees of all ages.

Those over 65 in our society are often isolated and disparaged by younger people. It is good to know that there are those in our society who wish to honour the contributions of seniors. They have worked their whole lives to help to better this province and to make it a pleasant place for all of us to live.

Printing companies in the Oakville area, like many companies in other industries, will do their best during the month of June to honour the contributions made to their city by seniors.
