The next time that high school students promote their cancer-fundraising event with promotional stickers, they may want to hire Stationery printing companies in Oakville, Ontario, to do the job for their event. Recently, a high school in nearby Mississauga held an event that some of their teachers and students thought would be an effective form of help in the war against cancer.
Staff and high school students at Mississauga’s Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School were pampered last week at their cancer fundraiser that featured hospitality, aesthetics and hairstyling students. The name of their event was the ManiCure 4 Cancer, which they say was to benefit the Canadian Cancer Society. The fundraiser worked in the following way: For a mere $5, anyone was able to obtain a hand massage, baked goods and manicures.
One of the teachers at the high school, Teresa Cascioli, was sufficiently impressed with herself, the students and her high school’s decision to hold the fundraiser that she framed the involvement of her students as the work of do-gooders who are doing what they can to help in the war on cancer. Cascioli made it a point to also note that her students were using their talents to “help others” inside of their own community.
Though flexography students at the high school helped to promote the event by designing and then printing the event’s promotional stickers. Any flyer and Stationery printers local to the Oakville area would be proud to support their students in their fundraising activities.
