The Town of Newmarket will be bringing back its Ice Lounge attraction this February, encouraging residents to embrace the chill of the winter months and support local businesses.
The event will transform Main Street into an outdoor festival with live music and other performances. Pedestrians can enjoy food and drink from local vendors. Ice Lounge typically features igloo lounges and fire pits to help embrace or fight the winter weather. Warm hot chocolate, marshmallows and soup can also help visitors stay warm.
Past editions of the Ice Lounge have also featured attractions such as the Snow Valley Mini Tube Slide and an Arctic Zone with animal statues for families to enjoy. Participating restaurants will provide drinks and snacks that can be enjoyed while wandering the festival area.
The Ice Lounge event is hosted by the Town of Newmarket and sponsored by local brands to help encourage people to patronize the downtown area and local businesses at a time where foot traffic is typically low. The 2026 edition of the Ice Lounge will take place from February 20 to 22 on Main Street in Newmarket, with an earlier end on the 22nd.
