Summer camp to resume at Miltons Snapology

A Milton summer camp focused on technology and creativity will be welcoming children back this summer through a variety of programs.

Snapology Summer Camp targets children aged 4 to 11 and aims to teach science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills in an approachable way. It uses themes from popular movies, TV and video games to interest kids, with programs like “Space Wars Camp: Robotics, Coding & Animation” and “Poke-Heroes Camp.”

The company has been hosting virtual camps and parties over the past year, including pop-culture themes and expert facilitators, and it is now preparing to welcome back kids in person.

In-person day camps are one of the items allowed under Step 1 of Ontario’s re-opening plan, which went into effect on June 11. Snapology aims to attract families from throughout the Halton region, as well as nearby Mississauga, and it has opened up physical locations in both Georgetown and Milton.

Camps such as these often use brochure printing and colourful Signs to help entice children and their families. Educational content can also help sell summer camps to parents – for instance, Snapology’s Mega Machines Weeks aims to introduce attendees to basic engineering concepts, such as gear ratio and simple machines, as well as active playtime.

Snapology’s summer camps are currently scheduled to begin on July 5 at the business’ Georgetown and Milton campuses. Virtual camps are also offered.
