The event will feature an expressive art experience, with women given the supplies and a canvas to paint a self-portrait that best reflects their inner self. No art experience is required, and guidance is provided by instructors from Cara’s Paintbox. Art instructor Cara is known for hosting everything from corporate events to bachelorette parties in the Milton area.
Visitors can also enjoy a special curated menu for the occasion, and listen to live music provided by area female musicians. Women are invited to come alone or together as part of a girls’ day out.
Women’s Day is an internationally recognized holiday by the United Nations, which is often recognized through cultural events like this. These events are often advertised through methods like poster printing and social media to help reach members of the local community. Advertising for the Women’s Day Art & Music Event emphasizes that:
“This guided activity is about expression, reflection, and creativity in a supportive and welcoming space [...] this event is about community, creativity, and celebrating womanhood in all its Forms.”
The International Women’s Day Art and Music Event will take place on the afternoon of March 8 at the Eighth Note Local Eatery and Live Music Bar. Registration is required in advance.
