Popular TV show hits Milton

The popular Canadian television show ‘Storage Wars Canada’ recently made a stop in Milton.

The program was filming an episode at the James Snow Self Storage and U-Haul. When it is aired, viewers will see the show’s cast of contestants bid on 10 storage units at the Holgate Crescent location that have either been abandoned or reposed.

Show contestants fight to outbid each other in the hope that they will find a treasure among the junk. Printing companies can create Posters that help promote shows like this on a local level, letting residents know of the upcoming episode and the fact that it features their area.

One of the show’s cast members, Ray Dimebeck, hopes to be able to do just that. His best find ever was an $18,000 Rolex watch in a unit that had been abandoned by an older lady several years previous. He noted that for every valuable item discovered, those involved come across several pieces of junk, resulting in the need to make many visits to the dump – a side of the show the viewers don’t get to see.

Shows like this can be entertaining for the audiences and experience high viewing figures. It’s planned that the Milton episode will be shown as part of the second season, but the date has yet to be confirmed.
