Milton to host special holiday fundraising celebration

The United Way of Milton has partnered with Springridge Farm to present its 2016 Christmas House Tour in an effort to raise funds to support a variety of local not-for-profit groups.

The event will give those who take part an opportunity to visit and browse through six different professionally decorated destinations. Each will have its own unique style to help inspire those who visit in their own holiday decorating plans. Once the tour is over, participants can get a jump on their holiday shopping at the Christmas Craft Market and Springridge Farm while they enjoy a glass of wine and a chance to get together with family and friends.

Those who would like to do something even more special can chose the Friday Night limo option, which includes dinner, a limo tour, wine and cheese. Signs and other decorations for a function like this can be crafted by a printer.

Funds raised by the event will be used by the United Way to assist the 29 local agencies that it supports. Sponsorship for the tour is courtesy of Bell Canada, Dufferin Aggregate, and Milton Villager.

The self-guided Christmas House Tour will be held on November 19, and the limo tour on November 18 in Milton. Tickets can be purchased both online and at several locations throughout the community. Those who are interested in finding out more can do so by visiting the event’s website.
