The annual Community Awards Gala is taking place in Milton early next month.
The awards honor those who have gone the extra mile to help and support those in the community and to make life better for many of them.
The theme of this year's awards gala is ‘A Night of Honour and Celebration’ and it is a presentation of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. Guests will be treated to cocktails, appetizers, and a gourmet dinner. Awards will be handed out in seven categories, which include: Lifetime Achievement; Citizen of the Year; Joyce Hagevik Volunteer of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; and Business Person of the Year.
Those attending will likely include business owners, government representatives, non-profit organizations, volunteers, chamber members, and the general public. It will be an excellent networking opportunity for many people who work in the community, and there will no doubt be time to discuss business over dinner or cocktails. Many of the Milton businessperson planning to attend will likely be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance of the gala, making sure that they have enough cards to exchange and that those cards are in perfect condition.
