Milton to celebrate Easter with food events

The town of Milton will be busy this Easter season, with a pair of food-centric events on consecutive weekends helping to welcome spring.

The celebrations will kick off with a traditional egg hunt in downtown Milton, and is set to be followed up by a festival on Springridge Farm.

The morning egg hunt will see kids and families search for colourful hard-boiled eggs across Main Street. The street will be closed to traffic to ensure that attendees are safe. The office of Parm Gill, local MPP, will be hosting a free pancake breakfast to coincide with the hunt. The morning will also see kid-oriented giveaways and activities. Community events like this often run on volunteer efforts, and advertise using time-tested tools like flyer printing.

Springridge Farms will also hold their version of an Easter Festival, a three-day event also featuring traditional activities like an egg hunt and meeting with the Easter Bunny. Animal-lovers will also be able to celebrate spring by paying a visit to newly-born baby farm animals. There will also be a barbecue including favourites like sausages and apple chips, as well as Springridge’s normal café and bakery featuring home-style sandwiches and baked goods.

The Downtown Milton Easter Egg Hunt will take place on the morning of April 4 on Main Street East between Martin and James Streets. A week later, on Easter weekend, Springridge will hold its festival on its farm from Good Friday through to Easter Sunday.
