This spring will see the debut of an event that aims to be an annual fixture, as the Milton I Heart Beer & Tacos Festival opens its doors.
The 19+ event will feature a day and night session, during which attendees will be free to wander a floor full of food and drink vendors. Attendees can purchase tokens to exchange for sample portions of the eponymous beer and tacos, allowing for sampling a variety of brews and different taco types. There will also be a cidery and distilleries present for those with a taste for spirits. The festival will feature entertainment throughout the event, including live DJs and musical acts. There will also be a “beercade” with foosball, table tennis, video games and more.
All in all, 14 breweries, cideries, and distillers, along with eight local food vendors, are expected for the festival. The event is the product of I Heart Beer, which runs similar events across Ontario, and is hoping to make Milton one of the regular stops on its indoor tour. Food festivals such as these provide an opportunity for local vendors to get attention and make connections, sometimes providing unique Promotional Products and special deals. The festival also offers “designated driver” tickets for a reduced rate for food and non-alcoholic beverages only.
The first annual Milton I Heart Beer & Tacos Festival will take place at the Sherwood Community Centre on May 13, 2023.
