An upcoming event in Milton will raise money to help make life a whole lot easier for those who are visually impaired or who need some extra assistance due to other medical reasons.
The Lions Club of Canada and Purina will be teaming up to stage another Canada Purina Walk for Dog Guides. The event in Milton will be just one of over 200 that have been planned for 200 communities all across the country. A printer will be able to design Banners and other printed items that can help to make fundraisers such as this as successful as possible. They can also help to raise awareness about the cause the participants will be walking for.
The funds raised will be used to help train dogs to be service animals for those with a variety of issues, including visual or hearing impairment, autism, epilepsy, type 1 diabetes and other medical conditions. There is no government funding for this program, and there is no charge for the dogs for those who need one.
Several local companies have come together to sponsor the event, including Pet Valu, Ginos Pizza, Sobeys, Goodlife Fitness, Canadian Tires, Longos and more. It is scheduled to take place on May 29th. It will begin at 1:00 pm, with the starting point being set as E.C. Drury school for the Deaf. Further details are available on the Purina Walk for Dog Guides website.Get a Free Quote for Banners
