Milton market to feature holiday treats

Milton’s Country Heritage Holiday Market will be joining forces with the Halton Buttertart Festival this November to put on a joint event highlighting the sweeter side of the holidays.

The market will feature a number of gift vendors, crafters, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. Announced vendors include Crystal’s Crafting Creations, Sweet Pompons Cotton Candy, and JUHL Fragrances. Parking and admission will be free. Attendees can also pose for photos with Santa Claus and stop to take a break in a “sip and shop” environment.

The Holiday Market will be taking place alongside the 6th annual Buttertart Festival, which is designed to celebrate the popular bakery item, as well as a wider array of dessert pastries. Vendors such as Molly B’s Gluten-Free Kitchen, The Buttertart Shack and Bruno’s Bakery and Cafe will be offering their own takes on the buttertart and much more, incorporating flavours like peanut butter and chocolate cream. Vendors were selected through an online application form, with spots filling up quickly.

The market is supported by volunteer workers and organizers. Markets like this are a popular destination for people looking for holiday gifts and are often advertised through poster printing and other marketing items with festive colours.

The 2024 Country Heritage Holiday Market & Halton Buttertart Festival will take place on November 17 at the Country Heritage Park in Milton.
