Milton golf tourney to support womens health

The Women with Drive tournament will be returning to the links of Milton this June, bringing together female golfers to raise money for charity.

The event is part of the Trillium Health Partners organization, which holds various events to raise funds for supporting health care in southern Ontario. The 2024 Women with Drive will be raising funds for the planned Women & Children’s Hospital at the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, which will be the first health centre in the province to create a centralized home for health issues affecting women and families, and include birthing suites and beds for NICU and pediatric beds. Funds will be raised through registration fees as well as a silent auction taking place in the evening.

The Women with Drive tournament will consist of eighteen holes across Granite Ridge Golf Club, using a “shotgun” format. Participants can register individually or as a foursome, and golfers of all skill levels are welcome. Registration also includes a lunch, cocktail reception, and dinner. Golf and other sporting events are popular choices for fundraisers in the spring and summer months, with tools like flyer printing and online outreach often used to raise awareness of the event and the cause it supports. This will be the 23rd annual Women with Drive event.

The 2024 Women with Drive event will be held on June 12 at Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton.
