An upcoming Milton road race will span multiple regions and help to raise money for a good cause.
The race, known as “The Beav”, is one of the most popular runs in the Milton area and typically attracts hundreds of participants. It is run on a 25-kilometre loop, which takes place across both the Hilton Falls conservation area and tracts in the Halton Region. Participants can choose to run the loop once or twice, or take a specialized 10-kilometre course. Each race course will include aid stations along the way to provide drinks, snacks and an opportunity to rest if needed.
Long-distance runs such as this, commonly marketed as “ultramarathons”, test runners’ endurance and can often take multiple hours to complete. Such runs often use Promotional Products to provide a memento of the achievement, and The Beav is no different, providing T-Shirts and hoodies with the race logo. Participants can make a donation to the Movember Foundation instead of race registration fees, which funds research for men’s cancer, as well as mental health outreach. The race will also be part of the OUTRace Series, a sequence of endurance races around Southern Ontario, with placements contributing to seasonal standings.
The Beav road race is scheduled to take place on November 5, kicking off at the Hilton Falls conservation area.
