The Downtown Milton HolidayFest will be returning this November after a two-year absence.
The event fills Milton’s downtown streets with festive decorations and activities, from inflatable snowmen to a visit from the big guy in red. Live musical performances will give local artists a chance to put their spin on holiday classics, and there will also be road hockey games, letting competitors of all ages show off their stick skills. Local restaurants will also be opening their patios for one last time before winter begins in earnest.
Social distancing protocols will be in place, but the event is still hoping that people can connect and celebrate the season in a way they would not have been able to last year.
With the announcement of the festival came a call for local vendors from food trucks to artisans offering potential holiday gifts. The 2019 edition of the HolidayFest saw exhibitors such as Bodacious Bath Bombs, The Kind Matter Company and Hammerhead Wood Designs.
The event has also previously seen activities such as an “elf on the shelf” scavenger hunt and a family photo challenge. With the holiday season being a major part of many businesses’ annual sales, holiday markets like this can provide a huge opportunity for small businesses and individual artisans, with many providing special Promotional Products that cannot be purchased during the rest of the year.
The Downtown Milton HolidayFest is set to take place on November 27 along Milton’s Main Street. More information on vendors and activities will be announced closer to the festival date.
