The Farm & Food Care Ontario organization will be holding its Tales of the Harvest gala in Milton this year, bringing together farmers and food lovers from across the province.
The gala will be celebrating the launch of the sixth edition of The Real Dirt on Farming, a periodical designed to answer Canadians’ question on how food is farmed and grown in their country. The evening will include cocktails and a plated dinner with locally grown food, as well as live entertainment. The event will also present the Paul Mistele Memorial Award to recognize people within the agricultural industry who have contributed to ending hunger in Ontario. The award is named after the farm leader who founded the Donate-A-Hog program in 1998.
The Tales of the Harvest Gala will include entertainment and speakers from the farm industry, as well as an Ontario Tourism Auction, in which attendees can bid on dinners, hotel stays, and other experiences throughout the province. Funds raised through the event will go towards supporting Farm & Food Care Ontario’s initiatives to support locally grown agriculture. Charity events like this often use brochure printing or special presentations to inform guests about the work the organization does.
The 2023 Farm & Food Care Ontario Tales of the Harvest gala will take place at the Milton Banquet & Conference Centre on November 16.
