The Broadway in Hamilton event promoters will be bringing musical hit Beetlejuice to town for a three-night engagement this September.
The musical is based on the 1988 film of the same name directed by Tim Burton, about a group of ghosts who try to scare away their house’s new inhabitants. The musical version debuted in 2018 with an updated script and added songs by Eddie Perfect, and was a critical and commercial hit, with eight Tony nominations. The show features modern special effects and stagecraft to bring the story to life.
The current touring production stars Ryan Stajmiger as the title spirit and Leianna Weaver as Lydia. Catie Davis serves as director for the tour and Michael Fatica as choreographer. Hamilton is one of just two Ontario cities included on the production’s 2026 tour across North America.
Beetlejuice is the opening show of the 2026-27 Broadway in Hamilton season, which brings touring versions of major musicals to the Hammer. Future announced shows include Hadestown, Stomp and Clue. The company advertises the ability for ticketholders to customize their experience with add-ons. Productions like these often use flyer printing and local media advertising to help attract fans of the original musical or material being adapted.
The Broadway in Hamilton presentation of Beetlejuice will run from September 8 to 10 at the FirstOntario Concert Hall.
