The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) will be holding a weekend of events in Hamilton this May, focusing on engineering as a career.
OACETT will kick off the weekend by holding its Engineering Technology and Applied Science Career Fair. The job fair will feature employers and organizations from across the province, and seek to attract students, recent graduates and other jobseekers in civil, mechanical, electrical and other types of engineering.
The Job Fair will be followed by the OACETT Conference and Technology Exhibitor Tradeshow, aimed at providing education and networking opportunities for all involved in the engineering industry. This will include a trade show floor featuring engineering products and services. Prospective employees and employers alike can prepare for networking events like this through business card printing and dressing for the occasion.
The weekend will be headlined by the President’s Award Dinner, featuring keynote speakers and awards recognizing industry standouts. This year’s conference will feature the theme of “From Grid to Greatness: Powering Ontario’s Future”, with an emphasis on the energy industry and solving provincial issues. The weekend will also include a panel discussion and technical sessions to help further industry education.
The 2026 OACETT Career Fair will take place on May 28 at the Hamilton Convention Centre. The Conference and Tradeshow will be held at the Sheraton Hotel from May 29 to 31.
