Supercrawl festival to return to Hamilton

One of Hamilton’s biggest festivals has announced its plans for 2025, as Supercrawl will descend on James Street North for another three days.

The festival is a super-sized version of Hamilton’s monthly Art Crawl events, and aims to showcase local artists in a variety of media. This will be the 17th annual edition of Supercrawl, and aims to be the biggest yet. There will be art installations out on the street as well as within dedicated galleries or adapted shops. Visitors can also catch free live performances in forms ranging from live theatre to professional wrestling.

One of the main highlights of Supercrawl is the diverse musical lineup. This year’s performers include cult favourite instrumental rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, folk singer-songwriter and autoharpist Basia Bulat, and the local Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. In total, there will be 65 acts across three stages.

In addition to artisan vendors of many stripes, there will also be over 50 food trucks and stalls to provide a full sample of the area’s culinary diversity. Past editions have also featured end-of-summer carnival classics like corn dogs and tiny donuts. Vendors often utilise colourful banner printing services and signage to gain attention at busy festivals like this.

The 2025 edition of Supercrawl will take place along James Street North and surrounding areas in Hamilton from September 12 to 14.
