Health conference invites interested attendees

An international health conference for women and children will be happening in Hamilton later this month.

The theme of the 2017 International Women's and Children's Health Conference (IWCH) is ‘Pushing Forward: The Impact of Modernization on Women's and Children's Health’. This one-day-only annual seminar was created for all members of the local community, including school staff and students. Anyone who is interested in learning more about women’s and children’s health in the local Hamilton area, and throughout the world, is invited to attend.

Doctors Jean Chamberlain and Lynda Redwood hosted the first conference in 1998. The seminar provided the unique chance for guests to deeply examine the impact of standard practices in medicine, medical research, and the laws surrounding healthcare procedures.

Presentation Folders may be provided at this year’s workshops, which include:

- ‘Technology and Innovation’
- ‘Culture as a Barrier to Modernization’
- ‘Stigma of Sexual Health’

The 2017 conference will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Facilities will be provided by the Hamilton Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre, located at 150 King Street East, in Hamilton.
