The city of Hamilton, which includes Stoney Creek, will be celebrating Christmas with several events throughout the month of December. Two of the more popular events will be presented by the Downtown Hamilton BIA.
The first event will be the Christmas Tree of Hope Lighting and a free concert. It will take place in Gore Park. In addition to the tree lighting, there will also be amusement rides and children can mail their letters to Santa Claus in a special mailbox. The evening will finish off with a free concert by the Ascot Royals.
The celebrations will continue in Gore Park the next afternoon. Guests can enjoy looking at the lit Christmas Tree of Hope while enjoying refreshments and carolers. There will also be free miniature train rides, a merry-go-round and free pictures with Santa Claus. Children can also enjoy taking part in making a Christmas craft. Those attending are encouraged to bring a donation of unwrapped toys and nonperishable food items.
In order to attract visitors from the city and Stoney Creek, organizers may hire a marketing services company to help advertise by way of Flyers or Booklets.
