Hamilton welcomes the growing season

There are several events taking place in Hamilton during the first week in May that will welcome in the growing season.

The Auxiliary of the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) is holding its 37th Spring Plant Sale over five days in May; the first day of the sale will be for RBG members only. A wide variety of flowers will be available, including new plants and old favorites. Experts will also be on hand to answer any questions.

The Royal Botanical Gardens Home and Garden Show will also be taking place for three days in May. It will feature plenty of vendors, expert advice, demonstrations, seminars and workshops.

Also taking place during the first week in May is the 2013 Craft Home and Garden Show presented by the Binbrook Agricultural Society. The event will feature over 70 artisans and vendors. In addition, there will be a classic car show and a swap meet on the last day of the show.

Hamilton printing companies have no doubt been called upon by the organizers of these events to help with marketing materials.

The Royal Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale will take place from May 1-5 and admission is free. The RBG Home and Garden Sale will take place at the RBG Centre from May 3-5. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, $10.50 for seniors and students, $7.50 for those aged 5 to 12 and free for those aged five and under; a family pass is $30.50. For more information call 905-842-6591.
