Hamilton venue hosts historic cooking workshop

Unlock the past with an upcoming cooking workshop with the Dundurn Historic Kitchen.

Built in the 1830s, the Dundurn National Historic Site is an Italianate-style villa, a former British military encampment built during the War of 1812. Today, it acts as a historic site with tours and public and private events throughout the year, and this spring, it will host a historic cooking workshop.

This April, the Hamilton community is invited to join their passion for history and food for a unique cooking experience at the Dundurn Historic Kitchen. During the workshop, guests will be guided through making various traditional and historic recipes utilizing the villa's cast iron range in the kitchen. Working as a team, guests will be able to expand their cooking knowledge to include some historic pastry and preserves techniques, allowing them to create historic treats that they can enjoy during the workshop.

Workshops often use brochure printing to convey information about what will be covered during the workshop. Sometimes, the brochures will also include information about related events that attendees can sign up for.

The Pastry & Preserves: Historic Cooking Workshop will take place on April 12th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Spots are limited, and tickets should be purchased in advance through the museum's website. The Dundurn National Historic Site is located at 610 York Boulevard, Hamilton.
