Hamilton paramedics praised for their impact on local family
Hamilton medical workers had a chance to play a huge role in the life of a family, and they recently had an opportunity to reunite with both them and the life they helped to bring into the world.
Two months ago, the first responders answered a call from Wade Turner and Jennifer Lee. They had been on the way to the hospital because their new baby was on its way and they didn’t think they would have time to make it there.
They called 911, who, after calling an EMS service to the scene, started to walk the couple through what they needed to do should they have to deliver the baby on their own. Fortunately, the rescue crew arrived in time, and baby Zoey was born safely.
The family and their newest members wanted to thank the team who had helped them so much. They stopped by the station and chatted with the paramedics, recounting the day when they had all worked together for such an important goal. This type of happy event can be used as an example of how a team of first responders can make a difference in their community, and a certificate or other award created by a printer can be presented to them to acknowledge the vital role they play.
According to Ms. Lee, she will always remember the way little Zoey came into the world, and she will be forever grateful to the first responders combination of kindness and professionalism.
