Hamilton museum wishes RCAF happy birthday

The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) takes a lot of pride in its history, and a Hamilton museum has an event on the way that offers the public the chance to discover this for themselves.

The RCAF is marking its 100th anniversary, and in honour of the occasion, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has planned its Air Force 100 Weekend. It may be of interest to aircraft aficionados as well as history buffs, and will be suitable for all ages.

The celebration will include the chance to view at least 50 military aircraft , both vintage and modern, and there will also be currently serving air force personnel on hand for the visitors to meet. They will be discussing their careers and the role they play in the military, and admission tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at a discounted rate. The Lancaster airplane will be open for tours.

Museums and other institutions offer a glimpse into a community's past as well as a view to the future. Exhibits and display signage as well as souvenirs printed with a prepared graphic design are just some of what a Print shop will be able to provide for a special occasion.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum will be running its Air Force 100 Weekend on July 6th and 7th. Its website offers more information.
