Dundurn National Historic Site will once again be greeting the winter season with an old-fashioned celebration that will hark back to Canada’s early days.
The event will have a Victorian flair, and it will be held in the former home of Sir Allan MacNab. Costumed interpreters will be on hand for the occasion, which will be free to attend, while The Garden Club of Hamilton will help supply the décor by installing a variety of evergreen boughs, dried flowers and ribbons.
While the celebration will have a historical flavour, it will support a modern cause. Everyone who attends the festivities is asked to bring along a donation of non-perishables, and these will be passed along to a local food pantry.
