An afternoon of family activities will showcase a Hamilton attraction to the world, and the participants will be treated to lots of nature-based fun.
The Royal Botanical Gardens has scheduled a Family Fun Day, and with a little bit of luck, the guests of honour will be local birds of prey. There is room for up to 20 participants, and it will take place outdoors.
The registrants for the occasion will be taking a guided walk through the arboretum, watching for Signs of wildlife as they go. The facilitator will discuss the birds of prey that can be found in and around Hamilton, including what they eat, where they roost and how they raise a family. The goal is for everyone to walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of these animals and the role they play in their respective ecosystems.
