Bats play an important role in the area ecosystem, and these night-flying insect-eaters will be the stars of a family friendly learning experience planned for a Hamilton venue.
The Royal Botanical Garden Arboretum presents hundreds of learning opportunities throughout the year, and one of these will be focused on the bat species that can be found in the local area. It will be an evening activity, and an experienced nature guide will lead the experience.
The function will open with a presentation that discusses bats, and the attendees will discover the species that call the venue home. They will find out the ways that the garden offers them high-quality habitat, and a review of the other animal and plant species that live at the location will also be on the agenda. There is room for up to 25 participants in the session, and the registrants are asked to meet up in the arboretum.
Some people are afraid of creatures like bats, and taking part in learning activities like this may help them to become less fearful of, and even appreciate, them. A brochure printing company will be able to supply educational materials to hand out during such an event.
The Royal Botanical Garden will be hosting its Family Fight Night: Going Batty activity on September 17th. It will begin at 7:00 pm.
