Hamilton fundraiser to help people put down roots
The Hamilton YMCA has been working hard to open the doors of its new Ottawa Street initiative for those who are in need of an affordable housing option. To help the project hit the ground running, a fundraiser has been planned that will offer a tiny taste of an evening in the tropics.
The function will give guests a sneak peek into the brand new Gage Park Tropical Greenhouse. They can stroll through the houseplants and other greenery, and this is just the start of the fun that has been planned.
Tickets for the fundraising function are $25, and while the crowd mingles, they will be invited to enjoy some drinks and other light refreshments. The musical entertainment for the occasion will be provided by Handsome Devils, and the excitement of a silent auction will help to round out the evening.
This opportunity to be part of a grassroots initiative that will help those in need have an affordable place to call home will be held at 1000 Main Street East.
