Hamilton’s Royal Botanical Garden serves as a reservoir for biodiversity, and one of its upcoming activities will introduce families to some of the feathered friends who call the site home.
The garden provides programming throughout the year, and in August it will be hosting its “Feathered Fun” session. It will provide a chance for those who participate to learn more about birds and their role in the ecosystem, and the outing will last for approximately two hours.
The activity will see families exploring the site looking and listening for birds that have made their way north for the summer as well as its year round residents. They will learn how to identify various species using their calls, and they will get a chance to practice imitating them. There is enough space for 25 participants, and the listing explained that this is one of more than 200 courses, workshops and classes planned for the venue.
