Hamilton’s Sheraton Hotel is currently playing host to an unusual family of guests, and they recently received some special treatment.
The visitors to the establishment are a family of four peregrine falcons. There are two chicks that have made a nest on one of the high ledges of the building. The parents are working together to raise them, and a group of volunteers came out to weigh and measure them, make sure they were doing well, and put identification bands on their legs.
One of the people who were on the scene to lend a hand with the birds was Robin McPhearson, who is a local bird lover who has watched the nesting site at the hotel for the past 12 years, but this year is the first in which she was able to actually hold one of the chicks. She reported that she was very happy about being able to do so.
A Stationery printing company can produce record sheets and other materials that are needed to keep track of the falcons and how they are doing.
The chicks were retrieved by John Millar, who remarked that the job went smoothly and the parents were calm throughout the whole process. They were returned to their home without incident.
According to reports, both of the young falcons are female, and they are both doing well.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
