Hamilton area prepares for agricultural open houses

Three days of family fun are on the way for the Hamilton area this summer, and while the participants enjoy themselves, they will be learning about the area's agricultural heritage.

The annual Hamilton Farm Crawl series is right around the corner, and all ages may participate. It will offer a sneak peek behind the garden gate, and will give all those who take part insight into where the food on their table comes from.

A selection of agricultural operations will be open to visitors for these occasions, and the public can stop by, meet the farmers and learn more about how their operation is managed. They can view crops, interact with livestock and maybe even do some taste testing, and there are nine stops on the route. Small fruit, maple products, flowers, ciders, herbs and angora wool are just some examples of what will be in the mix, and some of the stops will boast extra activities.

Tickets for these introductions to the area’s agricultural heritage are available now, and there are specially priced options for kids and seniors. Printing services can help with producing promotional materials for such sessions.

The dates for the 2023 Hamilton Farm Crawl will be June 24th, July 29th and September 16th. More details about the participating venues, tickets and event etiquette can be found online.
