Hamilton area museum to host drag racing displays
Drag racing enthusiasts and those who would enjoy taking a step back in time may both appreciate a Hamilton event that will be all about the need for speed.
The Canadian Wapane Heritage Museum will be offering a sneak peek into the past, present and future of drag racing by hosting its Dragstrip Memories day. It will include a pop up vendor area, and everyone is encouraged to stop by.
The activity will offer that opportunity to view a wide variety of souped up races, and vehicles from the very beginning of the sport up to what’s in use today will be included. There will be drivers and others on hand to meet, and they will be signing autographs and sharing stories. Displays of memorabilia will also be on hand.
One of the draws of the day will be the chance to shop from and support local small businesses. Any companies interested in taking advantage of this are asked to contact Cathy cathy@warplane.com or call 905-679-4183, ext. 244.. Stationery printers can provide a business with everything from packing supplies to bespoke business cards.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum has made plans to welcome drag race fans on April 14th. The activity will run from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. It is located at 9280 Airport road in Mount Hope.
