An afternoon planned for the city of Hamilton will invite the public to take a few minutes from their busy schedule to slow down and remember the important people in their lives who are no longer here.
“Remembering – A Holiday Memorial Service” will be held next month by Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries, and it is aimed at helping residents to commemorate their loved ones during the holiday season. It will be a non-denominational service, and all are welcome.
To accommodate as many attendees as possible, there will be two services held, and everyone in attendance will be encouraged to enjoy the experience in a way that is the most meaningful to them. A Tree of Remembrance will be set up, and each guest will be welcome to choose an ornament from the tree as a keepsake to hang or display in their own home.
The organizers of this activity want everyone to be able to participate safely, and as a result, seating will be limited. A company that offers brochure printing can be used to produce commemorative materials for an event like this.
The Coach House at Dundurn National Historic Site has been chosen to serve as the venue for this community event, and the two services will take place at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. They will be held on December 6th.
