What's Happening in Hamilton, ON…

Fringe festival will celebrate its 10th year in Hamilton this July

The 2013 Fringe Festival will take over the city of Hamilton for 11 days this summer. It will give alternative theatrical companies and musicians the opportunity to show the community what they have to offer.

Over 40 different companies will be holding performances at four venues in the downtown area; Hamilton Theatre, Theatre Aquarius Studio, Citadel Theatre and Citadel Studio Theatre. Performances will include music, magic shows, dance displays, comedy plays, dramas and one-man shows. A number of the performances will be family-friendly as well.

Some of the theatrical productions at the festival will include ‘Jack and Jill Bieber – Fever’, the ‘Rockgarden Party’, ‘Bridezilla vs the Apocalypse’ and ‘The Gore Mis-Fits’. There will also be a Fringe bus tour and a 10th anniversary launch party. There should be something at the Fringe Festival which will to appeal to everyone, regardless of age.

Organizers of the festival often invest in products from Hamilton printing companies to prepare. Banners can be hung from the venues where the performances are taking place and posters are likely to be distributed throughout the city to advertise some of the performances. Brochures are also useful for publishing event schedules.

The 2013 Hamilton Fringe Festival will take place from July 18-28. Tickets for each individual performance are all $10 or less. The 10th anniversary launch party will take place at the Fringe Club on July 18. For more information, contact the Fringe Info Line at 289-698-2234.
