The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, the Hamilton Community Foundation and Civic Action are presenting an event next month, known as the CivicDish: Food for Thought.
This is a breakfast meeting in which participants will be discussing three of the most important civic challenges in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Region. Guests will be treated to food and drink while they talk. The topics that will be discussed are the current housing crisis, the future of work in a more increasingly automated society, and civic inclusiveness and diversity. Attendance is open to anyone who is interested in these discussions and is free.
Civic Action provides the template for these meetings that can be hosted by anyone who wishes. The organization is located in Toronto and its mission is to get people talking about the important issues in their communities. It also provides leadership programs and holds a summit every four years, with the next one taking place in April this year.
