Dieticians to receive special farm tour in Hamilton
Dieticians and dietetic students from Hamilton and the surrounding communities are invited to learn more about where the food they eat comes from.
The Farm Food and Care farm tour will see 40 attendees get a behind-the-scenes look at farming in Ontario. Participants will be bussed to a variety of locations, including Pelissero egg farms, which raises egg-laying hens in an environment that has been designed to be comfortable for the birds. After that, there will be a lunch featuring Taste of Ontario items, and then the participants will travel by bus to the Cranston family dairy farm, which features a barn built in the free stall style.
Along with the farm tours, there will be a tailgate party, prizes, a chance to meet with farmers to discuss their work, and more. A company that produces ad specialties can create promotional items, such as printed bags, T-shirts, nametag lanyards and more to give away during an event such as this.
