The Hammertown Comic Con is coming back to Hamilton in October. The event is a celebration of comic Books, science fiction, and popular culture.
Many celebrities from movies and television will be appearing at the convention, including Jame Tolkan, David Yost, and Claudia Wells.
Comic book and graphic novel artists will also appear to meet with their fans; Ramon Perez, Leonard Kirk and Greg Hyland, among others, have already been confirmed. There will be a look back at the popular Hamilton-based children's television show Hilarious House of Frightenstein (44 Years of Frightenstein), discussion panels, and a Star Trek Q&A with Robert Picardo and Armin Shimerman.
In addition, attendees will have the chance to take part in a cosplay contest with awards given for best male, female, child, and best overall. Exhibitors will also be on hand selling items such as comic books, graphic novels, costumes, Posters, books, photographs, and action figures. Guests can then get their pictures taken in a replica of the DeLorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future films.
Hamilton printing companies have likely been busy for months helping the organizers of the event to prepare. This might include supplying posters and Flyers for advertising purposes or Banners for decoration.
