While many people enjoy chocolate, they may not know how it's made, and a Downsview area workshop will soon change that.
A Bean to Bar class will be taking place in the community, and it will teach the process from scratch. Tickets are $107.35, which includes the taxes and ticketing fees as well as all the tools, materials and ingredients.
The group of learners will be walked through the process of roasting, cracking , winnowing and grinding the cacao beans. While they do, they will learn the history of chocolate making, and it will then be time to temper and shape the chocolate into bars to take home. Packaging chocolate for storage will be discussed, and the students will be encouraged to ask questions.
At the end of the session, along with their sweet treats, each ticket holder will go home with a recipe sheet so it will be easier for them to repeat the process in their own home kitchen. Stationery printers are always happy to prepare printed Copies of recipes for group classes, and can even laminate them so they last for the long term.
This introduction to the art of making chocolate from cacao beans will be on offer on April 21st. It will begin at 4:00 pm at 100 Marmora street in North York.Get a Free Quote for Stationery Get a Free Quote for Copies Get a Free Quote for Packaging
