Winnipeg workshop to explore needle punching
Working with wool and a punch needle is a crafting technique that can be used to produce works of art, and a Winnipeg class will introduce the pastime to a new group of crafters.
Wool Mountain Studio’s Maureen Winnicki will be sharing her expertise during the “Pinch of Punch” workshop, and the registration fee is $78.85. It is intended for the beginner, and to help make sure everyone receives a personalized experience, the number of learners will be limited.
The class will see its students prepare a design for needle punching, or they may choose to use one that has been provided. They will receive materials to work with, and Winnicki will walk them through the process, including how to choose an appropriate yearn, needle size and cloth. Light refreshments will be served to the attendees.
An introductory crafting class provides a fun and supportive environment for newbies to get their feet wet. A flyer printing company can prepare marketing materials for a function like this, as well as copies of any handouts that will be distributed.
This opportunity to learn about the art of working with a punch needle will be on offer on November 10th. It will be held in Unit 4 on the Main Floor of 618 Arlington Street. It has been noted by the organizers that the location is not accessible to those who require a mobility device.
