Winnipeg has been invited to attend a “purrfect” event that will celebrate cats and the people who love them.
The planners of Meow Mania have pulled out all the stops to create a festival-style experience focused on felines. Sponsored by Pawparazzi Pet Photography and Premier Best Western Winnipeg East, the event will be raising funds for a variety of companion animal shelters in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas.
At least 40 exhibitors will be on hand. Along with the chance to purchase cat treats, furniture, toys, gifts for the upcoming holiday season and other items, the festival will introduce adoptable cats hoping for a forever home. Silent auctions and raffle draws are in the works, and the younger attendees can head to the Kids’ Corner. Food trucks will be rolling in, and the presentation stage will welcome an assortment of speakers that will address the crowd. Celebrity felines, including Sambuca the Maine Coon and Ronan the Wobbly Kitty, will be stopping by for meet and greets, and the celebration will run for five hours.

Meow Mania will celebrate cats on Saturday, October 11th at Assiniboia Downs, 3975 Portage Ave. It will open its doors at 10:00 am and wrap up at 3:00 pm.
