Winnipeg welcomes return of Garden Tour fundraiser

An upcoming Winnipeg activity is set to offer a sneak peek behind the garden gate at a selection of local properties, and this annual event is organized by an environmental advocacy group.

Nature Manitoba has set the date for its Gardens of Distinction Garden Tour, which will be its signature fundraiser for 2026. It will be held on Saturday in July, and Tim Evans, who is a Manitoba Master Gardener, is organizing the outing.

The activity will include at least 13 gardens, and the owner will be on site at many of the stops, happy to discuss their plantings and how they care for them. The participants can collect tips and advice as well as inspiration, and as it will be a self-guided experience, everyone can go at their own pace. The function will be volunteer driven.

Along with the tours, the organizers have scheduled a Plant Sale at Seven Oaks Arboretum so everyone can purchase some new additions to their own home plantings. Programs, maps and other printed materials for an activity can be crafted by Stationery printers that supply in house graphic design.

Nature Manitoba has scheduled its annual Gardens of Distinction Tour and Plant Sale for July 4th. More information about the stops as well as a link to reserve tickets for the occasion are both available on the organizer's website. They are priced at $20.00 each.
