Winnipeg museum sets date for annual lighting exhibit

The Manitoba Electrical Museum and Education Centre has a special exhibit in the works that will highlight how lights have been used throughout the years to help celebrate the winter holiday season.

This Winnipeg museum will be offering members of the public the opportunity to view its ‘All That Glows’ exhibit, which takes place once each year. Admission to the venue is $5.00, and those who are age five and under may enter free of charge.

The museum will welcome all ages, and it will showcase how both electric lighting systems and other decorations have changed over time. The attendees will find out how trees were lit in the days before powered lights were used, and it will be focused on innovations in the field that were made in Manitoba. They will also be able to browse through the rest of the venue, and there will be an assortment of interactive displays and other opportunities to learn.

Museums provide an opportunity to learn about the past and how it may influence the present and future. Signage for exhibits, registration forms and customized promotional products to sell can all be obtained from a print professional.

The All That Glows exhibit exploring the history of holiday lighting will run from November 23rd to December 1st. The museum is located at 680 Harrow Street, and it is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
