Each year, Surrey firefighters host a tree chip for charity, and this annual activity will make its return once again this January.
The annual event, which first began back in 1988, sees local firefighters accept holiday trees that they will convert into horticultural mulch. All that is required to take advantage of this opportunity is a small donation, and the organizer has noted that the average amount the public contributes each year totals approximately $5,000.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, there have been some changes made to the usual procedure. This year, anyone dropping off a tree will be asked to stay in their car, and the tree will be unloaded for them. They will then be collected and run through an industrial-size tree chipper. The proceeds of the day will support a variety of charitable initiatives.
To thank the public for their support, the firefighters will be distributing small Promotional Products to each person who brings in a tree. They will also hand out Brochures that provide more details about the cause they will be supporting and how it benefits the local community.
The annual Surrey Firefighters Annual Tree Chip will be held on January 2nd. It will be set up at the Guildford Town Centre, and trees will be accepted from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Brochures
