Burnaby bookworms who have been hoping to find some new Japanese titles to add to their collection may want to mark the date of an upcoming sale on their calendar for this fall.
The Nikkei Centre will soon be hosting its Japanese reading week book sale, to be set up in the building’s lobby. The public are welcome to stop by to browse, and while the Books may be the main draw for many of the attendees, there will be much more on offer for them to enjoy.
As well as a chance to purchase some new books, the organizers of the pop-up event explained that Shoten, which is a mini market and maker fair set up by the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre’s Auxiliary, will be open for business as well. Measures to help minimize the risk of COVID-19 will be followed, and attendees are asked to observe social distancing protocols.
This style of event is often promoted to the local community by using materials prepared by a poster printing company. Such a company can craft a wide variety of items, and they can each be custom designed to suit an individual customer’s needs and budget.
