Burnaby celebrates harvest season

The South Burnaby Garden Club gives its membership opportunities to learn and share their love of home horticulture with others who are passionate about plants, and its Fall Harvest Fair is right around the corner.

The group’s Fall Harvest Fair will open the season with a celebration of autumn’s arrival, and it gives the general public a chance to get involved, as they do not have to be Club members to enter the judging. Admission will be free, and all ages are on the guest list.

The Fair will showcase vegetables, flowers and fruit grown in Burnaby gardens, and there will also be exhibits of photography and crafts. Those who can or preserve the bounty can show off their skills, and there will be baked goods as well. It will run throughout the day on its scheduled date, and there are no entry fees being charged. A full agenda will be released closer to its set date.

The fall harvest season is a popular time of the year for agricultural fairs, and these activities may attract a large crowd. An area banner printing services provider can supply a full line of signage and their material that may help to keep a function running smoothly.

The Bonsor Recreation Centre in Burnaby will host the South Burnaby Garden Club’s Fall Harvest Fair on September 12th. All ages are encouraged to take part.
