An evening of music under the stars can be a special experience, and this will soon be on offer for those who call Burnaby home.
The Deer Lake Festival Lawn will welcome Symphony in the Park, which has become a favourite for locals and visitors alike. Admission will be free, and the program is packed with family friendly fun.
The entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and to help spark an interest in classic music in the attendees, there will be an assortment of activities that will provide an opportunity to learn about the instruments used. Everyone can bring a blanket to spread out or a folding chair so they can sit back, relax and take in the show. While service animals are permitted, it has been requested that the attendees leave their pets at home.
While the audience is welcome to bring a picnic supper, there will be a variety of local food trucks rolling in for the event. Mobile eateries that want to look their best for a public gathering can have a vehicle wrap prepared and installed by a local printing services company.
Symphony in the Park will be showcasing the musical talents of the Vancouver Symphony orchestra on July 18th. The activities will open at 3:00 pm, and the concert itself will start at 7:30 pm.
