A hanging basket offers a quick way to bring a pop of colour to a balcony, deck or other area, and an upcoming Burnaby workshop will demonstrate how to prepare one from scratch.
The Bespoke Hanging Basket workshop scheduled for GARDENWORKS' Burnaby location will teach the basics of creating beautiful displays of flowers and foliage. The registration fee includes the materials, and it is set at $89.59 each.
The participants will find out how to choose plants that do well together when planted in a basket, and trailing species that will add even more interest will be included. Everyone will learn how to prepare the soil, and assistance will be provided by the facilitator in creating a basket that fits in well with a particular colour scheme. No experience is required, and when they head for home, everyone can take their creation home with them to proudly display throughout the spring, summer and early fall. The class will run for one hour.
Spring sees home horticulturalists begin their annual planting tasks, and they may appreciate the chance to attend a workshop or other learning opportunity. A flyer printing company can prepare handouts as well as materials that help promote an activity to the public.
